Bergamo has a temperate oceanic climate, which despite its inland location is still partly under the influence of the Adriatic Sea. This influence ensures a somewhat tempered climate. For example, the average daily temperature in the winter months is less low than you would expect and summers are a little less hot.
The best times to visit Bergamo is in spring (mid-April till beginning of June) and fall(September and October) although it does tend to rain bit more in October. Bergamo is packed during the summer tourist high season, which starts the end of June and finishes the end of August. Most tourists who visit Bergamo in summer make a city trip from one of the Italian lakes. From Lake Garda or Lake Como, Bergamo is within driving distance.
You can expect most precipitation in Bergamo in the last months of the year, the months of January and February are normally the driest of the year, but you do have a greater chance of snow. Summers are warm in Bergamo with an average of 27°C and temperatures are mild in winter (December through February).
During the months of May, June and September you are most likely to experience good weather with pleasant average temperatures that fall between 20°C and 26°C.
