Porto has a warm oceanic climate. During summer temperatures can sometimes rise above 40°C, but because of the low humidity it feels pleasant and not to hot. Also the wind coming from the Atlantic ocean brings a cool breeze to the city.
Rain is mostly seen in autumn and winter (October- March). Winter can be very wet with long periods of rain. Spring (April - June) and early autumn (September) is the best time of year to visit Porto.
During the months of May, June, July, August, September and October you are most likely to experience good weather with pleasant average temperatures that fall between 20°C and 26°C.
