Tashkent Weather & Climate: Best Time to Visit
The two-million-strong city of Tashkent is the capital of Uzbekistan. It is located in northeastern Uzbekistan, just a stone’s throw from the Kazakhstan border.
Tashkent has a warm Mediterranean climate, which is unusual given its distance from the nearest sea (the Caspian Sea). This climate is due to mild winters and hot summers, where the sun shines abundantly, and rain is rare. Statistically, July, August, and September are dry months. However, in recent years, climate change has occasionally led to significantly higher-than-normal rainfall during these months.
