Mamaia Climate by Month
Mamaia has a humid subtropical climate, with oceanic and semi-arid influences. It is one of the warmest cities in Romania. There are four distinct seasons during the year. Summer starts early June and lasts to mid September, in general the weather is hot and sunny with a July and August maximum daytime average of 27°C.
Autumn starts in mid or late September with warm and sunny days. September is usually warmer than June. The first frost occurs on average in mid November. Winter starts in December and is milder than other cities in southern Romania. The average maximum January temperature is around 4.4°C.
Spring arrives in March but it can be quite cool.
