Granada has a Mediterranean climate. Due to the location near the Sierra Nevada (which lies between Granada and the sea) large temperature differences can occur between day and night. This is unusual for a city that is so close to the sea. Both in summer and winter, the temperature may decrease significantly during the night. Winters in Granada are very cold for Spanish terms. There will be a big chance to experience snowfall in winter.
During the months of May and October you are most likely to experience good weather with pleasant average temperatures that fall between 20°C and 26°C.
