Ankara Climate by Month
Ankara has a cold semi-arid climate, with little precipitation throughout the year. It experiences relatively cold winters and warm summers. In winter, night frosts are common from November through March, and from mid-December to the end of February it can also happen that the thermometer stays below freezing during the day. Snowfall is not uncommon during winter and the snow can also stay for several days to several weeks.
In summer months, temperatures of around 30°C are quite normal and in July and August the mercury can rise well above this.
