Sometimes you encounter places in the world where you can hang out in bliss for a whole day. One of these places is Saklikent National Park. Saklıkent is a hidden gorge, located about 50 kilometres from Fethiye in the southern province of Mugla in Turkey. The gorge is 300 meters deep and 18 kilometres long. It is hard to tell you how beautiful, serene, zen and chilled out this restaurant is. There are hammocks and cushioned areas, white ducks who float through the restaurant, flowers and beauty everywhere. This is honestly an amazing cafe which need to be on your bucket list. Expect good traditional Turkish cuisine and don't forget to order a delicious juice.

The restaurant is located in a valley in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains and near the impressive Saklikent gorge. During summer, Saklıkent attracts many Turkish, but also more and more foreign tourists.

Around and in the gorge you can cool down since the water that flows down from the mountains is only a few degrees above freezing. A little cold for swimming, but nice for just the feet. In winter months you can not visit the gorge, because then the water level rises. So best to visit Sakikent national park from June until October.

Where to stay

Located 50 km from the Gorge in Fethiye you will find an amazing eco retreat called Babakamp Eco Ranch& Retreat. This place stands out for its location and surroundings. It's one of the rare places where you can have a different experience in Turkey. At an altitude of 1300 meters you are some days above the clouds on a breath taking beautiful mountain. Wild and almost untouched.
