Imagine a place where you can immerse yourself in serenity for a whole day, letting the world's chaos slip away. Saklikent National Park, nestled about 50 kilometers (31 miles) from Fethiye in the southern province of Mugla, Turkey, is precisely that place. The hidden gem of this park is Saklıkent Gorge, a canyon that stretches 18 kilometers (11 miles) in length and plunges 300 meters (984 ft) deep.

The Heart of the Park: Saklıkent Restaurant Paradise Park

This isn't just another restaurant; it's an experience. The Saklıkent Restaurant Paradise park seamlessly blends the surrounding natural beauty with a tranquil atmosphere. Visitors are welcomed by hammocks and plush cushioned areas ideal for relaxation. The delicate drift of white ducks weaving their way through the restaurant and the presence of vibrant flora truly make the ambiance feel surreal. This is more than a restaurant; it's a visual and culinary journey that deserves a spot on your bucket list.

The restaurant is located in a valley in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains and near the impressive Saklikent gorge. During summer, Saklıkent attracts many Turkish, but also more and more foreign tourists.

Embracing the Natural Elements

Saklikent is a haven regardless of the season. In the warmer months, the gorge offers a chilly respite. The water, trickling down from the mountains, is icy, just a few degrees above freezing. While it might be too cold for a full dip, it's perfect for a quick splash on your feet. However, if you're planning a winter visit, keep in mind that the gorge remains inaccessible due to rising water levels. The best time to soak in the beauty of Saklikent National Park is between June and October

Where to stay

Located 50 km (31 miles) from the Gorge in Fethiye you will find an amazing eco retreat called Babakamp Eco Ranch& Retreat. This place stands out for its location and surroundings.

It's one of the rare places where you can have a different experience in Turkey. At an altitude of 1300 meters (4265 ft) you are some days above the clouds on a breath taking beautiful mountain.

Wild and almost untouched.
