Fernando de Noronha, Brazil - Weather and Climate

Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago of 21 islands off the coast of Brazil, in the Atlantic Ocean. Together with the Atol das Rocas, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In recent years, Fernando de Noronha has become a highly popular tourist destination, making it one of the most visited places in Brazil. Most tourists are drawn to its many sandy beaches, but the archipelago also offers excellent opportunities for diving and snorkeling, thanks to its spectacular underwater world. The waters around the islands are home to several species of sea turtles, sharks, rays, barracudas, and dolphins.

Fernando de Noronha has a tropical climate, characterized by a rainy season lasting about six months, which coincides with the Northern Hemisphere's winter. During this time, the combination of heavy rain and high temperatures can make the weather feel humid and stuffy, but the constant sea breeze provides some relief. In general the temperatures rarely rise far above 30°C or drop below 10°C.
