Climate and Weather of Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea has a climate characterized by high temperatures and humidity throughout the year. The North West Monsoon season is from December to March while the South West Monsoon season is from May to October. Rainfall is at its heaviest in the highlands with average annual precipitation varying between 2000 mm and 5000 mm.

Average monthly temperature ranges in for example Port Moresby from 26°C to 28°C throughout the year.
