The Iranian metropolis of Tehran lies at the foot of the Alborz mountain range, which lies on the north side of the city. From all over Tehran you can see the snowy mountains and the view of the snowy Alborz mountains is at times breathtakingly beautiful..The tea houses on the way are amazing and in the evening you will love the view of the lights in Tehran.

In weekends many inhabitants from Tehran travel to the coolness of the mountains. On a weekday it is a lot quieter. The slopes are not too short and not too long and there is a variety too choose from so you never get bored skiing.

Dizin makes a much modern and hip impression (for Iranian standards). The slopes are beautiful and you can reach a height of 3400 meters with a lift. Here you have no idea that you are in the Islamic Republic of Iran, it feels just lika a hip ski resort, anywhere on the world. With a reward on top of the slopes a beautiful view of Mt. Damavand that rises high above all other mountains.

Best time to ski

There is a lot of snow from late November until early April and it’s almost never too cold. We recommend going from half of December til end of May if you want guaranteed snow. These are the most ideal circumstances for skiing. Have a look at the average weather in Karaj, Iran here. Karaj is 90 KM from Dizin.
