Ankazoberavina is an eco lodge located on a private island of Ankazoberavina in the north west of Madagascar. Going to Ankazoberavina is a bucket list experience that can hardly be forgotten, because everything is perfect about this island. It is breathtakingly beautiful and nature is still unspoiled. Panoramic paths make it possible to reach the different beaches like the turtle bay which with its crystal clear waters have become a safe haven for these magnificent animals. The island also has black beaches who are with their volcanic landscape ideal for snorkeling and a mangroves beach, where small harmless sharks swim a few meters from the shore.

The bungalows all have a furnished veranda and hammock, they are perfectly set on the beach. In their simple elegance they have been tastefully furnished using only local materials. The food is excellent and we loved having meals together with other guests who are all sitting all around the same table. The manager Max really makes you feel at home and is an excellent host. They do everything here to preserve the delicate ecosystem of the island and they create a place you want to stay forever.

How to get there

The island is a 1 hour boat drive from Nosy-Be.

Best time to visit

We recommend to visit Ankazoberavina from April to November which are the drier months in Madagascar. The temperature stays almost constant year round. Click here for more climate details in Nosy-Be.
