Belgrade Climate by Month
Belgrade (Београд) is the capital of Serbia. Because Belgrade is located in the south of the Pannonian plain, the weather has a less grim character than the mountainous areas in the southern half of the country. According to the Köppen-Geiger classification, Belgrade has a temperate maritime climate (type Cfb). Winters are fairly cool on average, with January being the coolest month, where temperatures are typically around 6°C.During severe winters, the figures can be a lot lower than the long-term average temperatures suggest.
In the summer months, a similar option applies: instead of normal temperatures being between 25°C and 32°C degrees during the day, it can be tropical for several days to even more than a week of tropical heat in Belgrade. August is the warmest month, reaching around 31°C.
Belgrade receives about 719 mm of precipitation a year, with late spring being wettest. The average annual number of sunny hours is 2105.
