Iquique, according to many experts this is the best place in the world to para glide. The soft sand that helps you leave the ground, the beauty of the city and the landing on the beach make this city unique for paragliding.
Iquique had 191,468 inhabitants in 2017 and covers an area of 2242 km². Located in a bay with a golden coastline, Iquique is one of Chile's most important seaside resort cities. It has casinos, a boulevard and many activities such as surfing, paragliding, sand-boarding and everything else you expect from a seaside resort city. You can easily stay here for a week without getting bored.
For a big city like Iquique the atmosphere is very relaxed. Chill surfers, professional para gliders, casino employees and all different kind of tourists mix up here. Located along a golden sandy beach on the coast with some of the best surfing locations in the country make this city complete.
Together with Lima in Peru, this is one of the larger cities in South America where you can para glide. Some even say that Iquique is the best place in the world to para glide. That’s why the city got called 'Fly Quique'. Experience the feeling of sifting through the air and the adrenaline from a rapid decline. With a view of the city of Iquigue and its surroundings, full of hills and high mountains, it is breathtaking.

Best time to visit
