Alghero has a mild Mediterranean climate. This means warm summers and mild winters making it a year-round holiday destination. There is a small chance of precipitation in Alghero during summer months, in winter this chance is higher. Maximum temperatures rise to near 30°C in July and August. The town is sometimes influenced by a strong wind (mistral) coming from southern France and usually this lasts for a few days.
