Suriname Suriname in severe lockdown for two weekends

The next two weeks there will be a total lockdown in Suriname over the weekend, reports Starnews. The government has decided this because the number of new coronary infections is still to high.

As a measure, Suriname will lockdown in the weekend from Friday evening 19:00 until Monday morning 05:00. During that period, people are only allowed to go outside if they have special permission to do so. All shops are closed and restaurants are allowed to deliver food until 22:00. You can't pick it up on those weekends.

Suriname Suriname tightens corona measures

In Suriname, the government has tightened the corona measures. People should stay at home as much as possible and only go away when they need to. From tomorrow, a curfew will apply between 19:00 and 05:00.

Furthermore, restaurants are only open to pick up, up to ten people are allowed to gather, government offices are closed and parties and gatherings are strictly forbidden.
