Speaking to the Portuguese parliament yesterday, Home Affairs Minister Eduardo Cabrita announced that Portuguese citizens would be banned from traveling abroad via air, land or sea for the next 15 days. It was also revealed that there would be checks along the country’s border with Spain in order to prevent citizens from leaving.

  •     A stay at home order except when leaving for school or work
  •     Shopping should only be for essential supplies and as infrequently as possible
  •     Shops will close at 10:00pm and restaurants 10:30pm

Portugal The number of coronary infections in the Porto region is stable again

The number of coronary infections in the Porto region is stable again. The travel advice has gone from 'orange' to 'yellow'. A visit to the Lisbon region remains risky; this will remain orange for the time being.

The travel advice for the two Portuguese cities changed to orange two weeks ago due to the increasing number of infections in these regions.

Partial lockdowns were also introduced in Porto and Lisbon. With a code orange, travel is discouraged by most countries due to an increased risk of corona problems.
