Covid update for the United Kingdom

United Kingdom 'UK requires travellers to quarantine in hotel'

The UK will require travellers to be quarantined upon arrival at a hotel. The government will announce this on Tuesday, according to THE UK's ITV.

A mandatory quarantine in a hotel would mean isolation of ten days. The stay, including three meals, should cost around 1,500 British pounds (almost 1,700 euros). The quarantine must be paid for by the traveller himself.

The traveller will be escorted from the airport to his or her hotel room. There, strict monitoring of the quarantine compliance will be carried out.

According to the British broadcaster, the plan is already close to being finalized, only the details will be discussed on Tuesday morning.
