Covid update for Czech Republic

Czech Republic Czechia is opening the borders to 20 European countries

The Czech government are opening the borders to 20 European countries, according to Reuters. The Czech Republic takes a weekly look at all countries for a customized travel advice, with rules for entry depending on the COVID-19 case count in the country they are flying from.

Czechia has a new system of entry requirements for travelers arriving from within the EU/Schengen area (plus the UK), with different rules for entry into the country from three categories of countries; high, medium and low risk. A list of these categories can be found on the Ministry of Health website.

Individuals with Czech residency traveling from countries designated by the Czech Government as ‘medium or low risk’ will be able to enter the Czech Republic for any reason, without a test result and without self-isolating.

We recommend to always check if there are any latest travel restrictions before you book an accommodation. Travel may only be permitted for certain purposes and recreational travel may not be specifically permitted. Government measures are constantly changing, so we recommend that you regularly check for updates. Click here for travel restrictions and guidelines for Czechia.
