Note that the warmest month in Cayo is normally April, with the temperature reaching 35°C, while January has the coolest maximum daytime temperatures, reaching 28°C.
The peak heat season generally takes place in April, May and August.
When it comes to rainfall, Cayo sees significant variations throughout the year. September tends to be the wettest, receiving 169 mm of rain, while February is much drier with just 36 mm.
