Climate and Weather of Trinidad & Tobago

Trinidad-Tobago has a tropical climate which is tempered by northeast trade winds. The dry season is from November to May. With February, March and April as the driest months of the year. Temperatures fluctuate between 20°C at night and 30°C during the day throughout the year. The sea temperature is also very pleasant all year round.

The rainy season that starts in June and doesn't end until December. On an annual basis, Trinidad receives an average of 2100 mm of rain. The smaller Tobago is slightly wetter with an average of 2500 mm. Tropical storms and hurricanes may occur in the second half of the year.

The best time to visit Trinidad and Tobago is from January to April. This is the driest and sunniest period of the year. During the day it is always warm. After the sun has set, the temperature drops quite gradually. The sun shows itself often with an average of 8 to 9 hours of sunshine per day.
