Israel shuts down international air traffic
Israel will ban all international passenger flights from tomorrow night. According to The Jerusalem Post, the ban on inbound and outbound flights at Ben-Gurion airport will start at midnight local time on Monday.
Restrictions also apply to Israeli airlines. Only in very special cases can an exception be made for arriving and departing travellers.
With the ban, the country hopes to prevent a further spread of the coronavirus. The measure will be in force until the end of January, when the national lockdown also ends.
