Germany Germany extends lockdown until February 14

In Germany, the national lockdown will be extended until 14 February. This means that schools and non-essential shops will remain closed until that date.

Wearing medically approved masks on public transport is likely to be mandatory, sources tell. In the German state of Bavaria, medical FFP2 mouth masks are already mandatory on public transport and in shops. In all likelihood, there will be no nationwide curfew.
