The Marathon du Médoc, a full marathon with 23 wine stops, was created in 1984 from the idea of combining fun with sport. If you like wine and cheese than this is a must for your bucket list. There is a different dress code every year, so many participants are dressed up at the start line. The 42 km course runs through more than 50 vineyards and you can taste the beautiful wines during a marathon! The Marathon happens every year in September.

At the Marathon du Medoc you will find orchestras and tastings of local produce along the entire course. Almost 50,000 spectators come to encourage the participants and seem to be all having a good time. More information about the Marathon click here.
