Climate and Weather of Myanmar (Burma)
Myanmar has a tropical monsoon climate, characterized by strong monsoon influences and a high amount of rainfall in most areas. While the country enjoys a significant amount of sunshine, the high humidity can sometimes make the temperature feel rather uncomfortable. The annual average temperature ranges from 22°C to 30°C.Myanmar has three distinct seasons: the cold and dry season from November to February, with average monthly temperatures ranging from 20°C to 24°C. The hot-dry season from March to April, witnesses temperatures between 30°C and 35°C. Finally, from May to October, expect some rain as the wet season sets in, with temperatures hovering between 25°C and 30°C.
Wondering about the rain? Well, the delta region sees about 2500 mm every year. The dry zone usually receives less than 1000 mm. But if you're heading to the coastal areas, pack an umbrella! Those regions can be drenched with more than 5000 mm annually.
