Climate and Average Weather in Kiribati

Kiribati has an equatorial climate, but is located in the dry zone. Butaritari in the north has the most rainfall with more than 3100 mm per year (122 inch), followed by Tarawa. Most of the year there is an easterly trade wind which causes high humidity.

Kiribati has a fairly constant temperature throughout the year with an average temperature of 25 to 26 degrees Celsius (77-78° Fahrenheit) without a real rainy season. Because of its proximity to the equator, Kiribati does not suffer from typhoons.
