Georgia's diverse climate ranges from a warm oceanic climate in its lower regions and along the Black Sea coast to a temperate continental climate in its mountainous areas. Winters can be harsh, with temperatures plummeting to as low as -30°C. With snow-capped mountains and freezing conditions Georgia is a popular ski destination. For skiing enthusiasts, the best travel months are January through March.
If you don't want to go skiing, the best times to visit Georgia are spring and autumn. From early May to mid-June and early September to mid-October. For those seeking a beach getaway they should consider the months of June or July. August is also a viable option, especially if staying in the northern coastal areas.
