Eritrea is located on the coast of the Red Sea and has a warm and dry desert climate. It is usually cooler and wetter in the central highlands and semiarid in the western hills and lowlands. Showers occur in the period from February to April and the heaviest rainfall occurs during the period June to September.The best time to visit Eritrea is from October to March.
