Climate and Average Weather in Djibouti
Djibouti lies in Northeast Africa on the Gulf of Aden at the southern entrance to the Red Sea. The country is mainly a stony semi desert, with scattered plateaus and highlands. The warm desert climate in Djibouti is hot and humid year round.
The weather in Djibouti is also characterized by drought. In the capital Djibouti City, for example, only an average of 131 millimeters (5.15 inch) of rainfall falls, which is spread over only 22 days of precipitation. This means that on average almost 95% of all days don't have any any precipitation.
