Brunei has a tropical rainforest climate with an average annual temperature of 27 degrees Celsius (80.7 degrees Fahrenheit). Almost every month experiences a lot of rain. On average around three thousand millimeters (118 inches) of precipitation falls each year. Brunei does not have dry periods, but it has two monsoon periods. The northeast monsoon is active from December to February, the southwest monsoon from June to October.

The period February to April is slightly drier, making this the best travel time to visit Brunei. It is also the most sunny period.
