Benin, situated in West Africa, experiences a hot and humid climate with tropical weather conditions throughout the year. The country's position near the equator plays an important role in its consistent temperature range. The average temperature fluctuates between 28°C and 32°C over the twelve months.

Accompanying the tropical climate conditions is a fairly high relative humidity. This makes it feel very warm, especially during the peak months of April and May.
