Ukraine Ukraine opens borders for tourism on September 28

Effective September 28th, Ukraine will reopen borders for tourism. On August 29th, Ukraine made the surprising decision to re-shut its borders after being open for tourism for only two months since the original closure back in March.

A sudden surge in cases throughout the summer prompted the nation to ban all non-essential foreign arrivals and tourists from entering on August 29th, for at least 30 days.

Ukraine Ukrain is closing its borders

The Ukrainian government announced on 27 August that it is closing its borders to most foreign visitors on 28 August. The formal regulations have not yet been officially confirmed, but we strongly advise you take this measure into account.

Ukraine Ukraine has lifted its entry ban for foreign nationals

Since June,15 air service has been recovered. Foreigners are permitted to entry Ukraine.  Foreign nationals will be allowed to enter Ukraine if they can demonstrate that they have medical insurance covering all expenses related to COVID-19 treatment while on the territory of Ukraine. A self-quarantine will apply to all travelers arriving from countries deemed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health to have a high incidence of COVID-19. 

We recommend to always check if there are any latest travel restrictions before you book an accommodation. Travel may only be permitted for certain purposes and recreational travel may not be specifically permitted.
