South Korea Entry requirements for South Korea

South Korea has restricted the entry of travelers arriving from certain countries. Travelers are subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon entry and on January 8 they must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result.

South Korea New Corona measures in South Korea

The South Korean government immediately tightened the corona measures, after the highest number of infections was reported in nine months. In and around the capital Seoul, the coronalevel is 2.5, which means a curfew from 9 p.m., smaller school classes and the reduction of public transport. Gyms, theaters and karaoke bars will also be closed.

South Korea South Korea tightens Corona measures

South Korea is tightening measures against the coronavirus after it was eased a month ago. As of Thursday, meetings with more than 100 people are banned. Churches and sporting events are only allowed to admit 30% of their normal audience. Furthermore, visitors to places at high risk of contamination, such as clubs and karaoke bars, should keep more distance.

More than 200 new corona cases have now been recorded in the country for four days in a row. Several clusters have been discovered in office buildings and at healthcare facilities in Seoul.

South Korea South Korea will seek “travel bubble” with Asian neighbors

South Korea will seek “travel bubble” or selective border openings with Asian neighbors like Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand where COVID-19 spread has been contained to aid tourism industries of respective countries.

According to multiple industry sources on Thursday, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently convened a meeting to discuss ways to boost the sluggish travel industry. South Korea COVID-19 test on arrival in South Korea

All foreign national travellers are being tested for COVID-19 on arrival in South Korea. Testing may take up to 24 hours and you may be held in a separate facility during this time. If you test positive for the virus you will be transferred to the appropriate healthcare facility. South Korea is on the UK government's quarantine exemption list.
