Maldives The Maldives has reopened its borders

As of July 15, this island nation in the Indian Ocean is reopen to international tourism and, perhaps remarkably, very few strings are attached.

Global travelers will not have to enter into a mandatory quarantine upon arrival at Velana International Airport in the capital, Male. Nor will they need to produce proof they have tested negative for coronavirus. The only thing will be a simple temperature check at the airport. There is also one other rule: Visitors must book their entire stay at the same resort whilst visiting the South Asian country.

We recommend to always check if there are any latest travel restrictions before you book an accommodation. Government measures are constantly changing, so we recommend that you regularly check for updates. Click here for travel restrictions and guidelines for the Maldives.
