Iceland New mask rules for Iceland

In Iceland, masks are mandatory since Friday on public transport, with contact occupations and on board of (cruise) ships. The new requirement apply to everyone born before 2005

Iceland reopens the borders for tourists from every country in the world. At the airport, everyone is required (free of charge) to test for the coronavirus. Tourists must leave accommodation details and tourists from outside Europe are not allowed to travel to mainland Europe.

We recommend to always check if there are any latest travel restrictions before you book an accommodation. Travel may only be permitted for certain purposes and recreational travel may not be specifically permitted.
