Guatemala Guatemala allows vaccinated tourists

Guatemala has become the latest country to allow vaccinated tourists to enter without PCR testing or quarantines.

The list of nations that have updated entry requirements to recognize vaccinated travelers is still quite small, under 10 countries as of late February 2021, but is slowly starting to grow.

Guatemala Guatemala has reopened borders on September 18

Guatemala has reopened Guatemala International Airport. Travelers are required to register a Health Pass form online, present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival and the printed copy of the form.

Travelers are required to register on Guatemalan Health Pass website 24 hours prior to arrival and print the completed form.

Travelers who are unable to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to arrival will subject to a 14-day quarantine.

Upon arrival in Guatemala, travelers may be subject to a clinical evaluation. They will be ask to complete an immigration form with the address where they will be staying. Local authorities will provide further instructions about the place where they should complete the quarantine and any other details they should provide upon arrival

Guatemala Guatemala reopening borders on September 18

Guatemala plans on reopening its international airport for tourists starting on September 18th, 2020, Juan Antonio Ruiz, president of the Guatemalan Airline Association announced. 

Guatemala’s Aurora international airport will officially reopen on September 18th. Five of the ten airlines that operate at the airport will resume flights that day. Details on entry requirements have not been fully confirmed.

Guatemala Guatemala is not open for tourism

The Guatemalan government has closed its borders to most non-Guatemalans. Travel within the country is restricted, and a  curfew is being enforced.

The current travel ban is in place until at least August 15.
