Denmark Denmark has tightened corona rules

In Denmark, another 31 towns and villages are in partial lockdown. Health Minister Heunicke has tightened corona rules after a record number of new infections. Stricter rules already applied to 38 other places.

As of tomorrow, nearly 80 percent of the population will face stricter corona rules, reuters news agency reports. Cafes, restaurants, theatres, museums and libraries are closed. Older children and students also receive online lessons.

Denmark Denmark has reopened its borders to certain travelers

Denmark has reopened its borders to travelers arriving from most most European countries; restrictions remain in place for most travelers from outside the EU/Schengen area and UK. Danish nationals and residents may still return to Denmark from anywhere. Travelers arriving from high risk or banned countries must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to arrival. Denmark UK travelers can return from Denmark without needing to self-isolate

The FCDO has put Denmark, the Canary Islands, Mykonos and the Maldives on the quarantine exempt list. This means UK travelers can return from these destinations without needing to self-isolate.

Denmark Denmark tightens Corona rules

In Denmark the rules are being tightened due to the increasing number of coronary infections. From 29 October, a mask will need to be worn in supermarkets, shopping centres, cinemas and hospitals. Next Monday, a ban on the sale of alcohol will take into place after 10 p.m.

Prime Minister Frederiksen called on the Danes to limit their social contacts. "We risk losing control of the virus," she said at a news conference.

Denmark Denmark requires wearing mask in public transport

From next Saturday, Danes will be required to wear a mask in public transport. This was announced by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at a press conference.

According to Frederiksen, the focus on keeping distance is slacking. Therefore the need for further measures. "We see people hugging again," she said, according to Danish media. "We have to start thinking differently. Keeping distance does not mean rejection, it is a form of respect."

Denmark Denmark now recommends wearing masks in certain places

It is not mandatory to wear masks in Denmark yet, but the government did change its advice last week. For example, the Danish government now recommends wearing masks on public transport and when it is difficult to keep distance from others.

Denmark Denmark opens to tourism to and from Europe, except for six EU countries

The UK, Ireland, Malta, Portugal, Romania, and all of Sweden except the region of Västerbotten are all off-limits for tourism under the country's new travel guidelines, published on Thursday the 25th of June.

Travel to and from other EU and Schengen countries is now permitted without restriction. We recommend to always check if there are any latest travel restrictions before you book an accommodation. Travel may only be permitted for certain purposes and recreational travel may not be specifically permitted.
