Cyprus Cyprus has begun allowing entry to travelers

Cyprus has begun allowing entry to travelers arriving from specific categories of countries, and is accepting online entries for the CyprusFlightPass.

Cyprus has begun to reopen its borders, and prerequisites are in place for travelers to enter the country. To facilitate travel arrangements, the government of Cyprus has created CyprusFlightPass, an online portal where travelers can submit the necessary details to receive authorization to fly. Countries have been sorted into categories A, B, and C based on their epidemiological situation, with A being the most favorable.

Travelers entering Cyprus from countries in Category A must complete the Passenger Locator Form and the Declarations for Country A Categories to obtain the CyprusFlightpass.

Travelers entering from countries in Category B must complete the above paperwork to obtain the CyprusFlightPass, plus a test (for travelers 12 and over) and lab certificate confirming negative PCR for COVID-19 within 72 hours before their flight to Cyprus.

Cyprus Cyprus tightens mask rules

In Cyprus, since Friday, everyone has to wear a mask in enclosed public spaces. The measure applies to anyone aged six or older.

Cyprus Cyprus allows travelers from the UK

The government of Cyprus has announced that travelers from the UK will be able to enter Cyprus from 1 August, provided they have proof of a negative PCR test on arrival, obtained within 72 hours before travel.

  As from 1 July Cyprus and other EU countries start lifting the travel restrictions at the external borders for residents of the following third countries:

  • Serbia
  • South Korea
  • Thailand
  • Tunisia
  • Uruguay
  • China, subject to confirmation of reciprocity

Cyprus Cyprus will reopen to tourists from certain countries

Cyprus is trying to pursued travelers to visit their country by giving an offer which is hard to refuse. According to a letter shared with CNN, the Cypriot government will pay for lodging, as well as food, drink and medication for tourists who are taken ill with coronavirus during their visit.  “The traveler will only need to bear the cost of their airport transfer and repatriation flight, in collaboration with their agent and/or airline,” states the letter.

As of 20th June, persons flying from Category A countries face no restrictions when traveling to Cyprus; people traveling from Category B countries are required to have a PCR test done at the source country, 72 hours prior to travel.

The government of Cyprus says it will re-evaluate and update the country lists weekly.

Cyprus has announced Brits will be allowed to enter the country from 15 July.
