Belize Belize reopened borders for tourism

The Philip Goldson International airport is now open as of October 1. Travelers must download the Belize Health App, complete the required information and take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of travel.

Belize Reopening Belize has been postponed until at least September 3

Philip Goldson International airport was expected to reopen on August 15; however this date has now been postponed until at least September 3. When international travel reopens, travelers must download the Belize Health App and complete the required information prior to boarding a flight to Belize. This will create a unique QR code for contact tracing while in Belize. Travelers must have a booked stay at a hotel in Belize that has achieved the Tourism Gold Standard Certificate of Recognition. They are encouraged to to take a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of travel. Those who present a negative PCR test upon arrival will be able to utilize the ‘fast track’ entry lane for much faster arrival processing. Travelers who do not have a negative test will be required to undergo testing by the Ministry of Health upon arrival at their own expense. Those who test positive will be quarantined in a government facility. All travelers to Belize must wear a face mask at all times. Source: Kayak

Belize Belize will be reopening their borders for tourism starting on August 15th

Belize will be reopening their borders for tourism starting on August 15th. This will also apply for Americans. The Prime Minister of Belize made the official announcement that Belize’s international airport will be opened on August 15, 2020, as part of the country’s five-phase re-opening strategy for tourism. The opening of the international airport will kick-off Belize’s third phase of re-opening, allowing for further travel relaxation and open entry for chartered flights, private aviation and limited re-opening of international leisure travel with approved hotels only.
