Covid update for Belgium

Belgium Wearing a mouth mask in shops, museums and cinemas is mandatory

In Belgium, starting Saturday the 11th of July, wearing a mouth mask in shops, museums and cinemas is mandatory. At the moment, masks are already mandatory on public transport and in contact professions such as the hairdresser.

The mouth mask requirement applies to a long list of public places, ranging from libraries to places of worship. Prime Minister Wilmès stresses that the list can be adapted in the future, depending on the development of the coronavirus. "In other situations, wearing a mask is always highly recommended," says the Prime Minister.
