Taiwan Taiwan has begun to reopen its borders to foreign nationals

Taiwan has begun to reopen its borders to foreign nationals, provided they are traveling for reasons other than tourism or to visit friends. All visa waivers have been suspended, so travelers must apply for a special entry permit with a Taiwan representative office overseas before traveling. Travelers who already hold a valid Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) or Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC) do not require a visa to enter Taiwan. Upon entry, Taiwan requires all foreign nationals to present an English-language certificate of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days of boarding the flight to Taiwan and undergo a 14-day home quarantine period.
