Covid update for Germany

Germany Stricter Corona measures in Germany

From Wednesday, there will be stricter measures in Germany to prevent the rise in coronary infections. Non-essential shops and schools will close until 10 January, Chancellor Merkel announced. Pharmacies and supermarkets will remain open. The Chancellor also called on employers to allow workers to work from home as much as possible.

Furthermore, the hairdressers close, there will be a firework ban and alcohol should only be drunk at home.

A partial lockdown was already in force in Germany. As the number of coronary infections continued to rise sharply, Merkel on Sunday discussed additional measures with the prime ministers.
