Covid update for Italy

Italy Italy postpones reopening of ski slopes

Italy is postponing the reopening of the ski slopes from 7 to 18 January, this was just announced by the Italian Ministry of Health.

Like many other European countries, Italy closed the ski slopes over Christmas and around New Year's Eve to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Although the number of new positive tests per day has dropped to about 20,000 from 40,000 at its peak in November, the infection rate has been rising again in recent days.
