Covid update for Greece

Greece Greek shops reopen after more than two months of closure

In Greece, shops, hairdressers, beauty salons and garages reopened on Monday after more than two months, but measures to combat the coronavirus remain in place. For example, an appointment must be made before a visit.

Some 140,000 people have returned to their workplaces, Greek media report. Churches may welcome visitors again next weekend.

Areas with high infection rates are excluded from the new measures. Travel between different districts remains prohibited for no valid reason. The Greeks must also stay indoors between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
