Germany Germany plans to extend lockdown

The German authorities plan to extend the lockdown, which has been in effect since mid-December, until March 7. This is stated in a provisional agreement between Chancellor Merkel and the leaders of the sixteen federal states, this is reported by the German media and Reuters.

The German lockdown means, among other things, that schools, shops and restaurants are closed. There is also a curfew in some places.
