Belgium refrains from easing and instead takes additional corona measures

Belgium is not going to continue to relax its corona measures in the country. Because of the increase in the number of new infections, additional measures will be taken in the fight against the virus, Prime Minister Sophie Wilmès said at a press conference of the National Security Council on Thursday.

The fact that the easing planned for 1 August will not take place does not come as a surprise; the Prime Minister made it clear last week that they would not go ahead if the figures were negative.
