All tourists who visit Canary Islands are insured

All tourists coming to the Canary Islands are insured by the regional authorities for additional costs in case they become infected with the coronavirus. The Minister of Tourism has made an agreement with a French insurer. According to her, the archipelago is the first Spanish region to offer this coverage.

If a tourist becomes infected, an early return flight and medical expenses are covered. This does not apply to tourists who knew they were infected before departure.
