The summer toboggan at Hotel Oeschinensee, a must-add to your bucket list, offers an exhilarating ride amidst the breathtaking scenery of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you settle into your cart and glide along the track, you're surrounded by majestic mountains. The contrast of snowy peaks in the distance and lush green grass below creates an amazing backdrop to this unique tobogganing experience.

The ride is open from May through October then closed for winter. One ride on the mountain coaster will cost adults about $5.

Berghotel Oeschinensee

The hotel does not only offer an amazing toboggan, they are also well known for their sustainable practices. The hotel is established in 1892 and family-run for generations.

At Berghotel Oeschinensee they for example process the lamb themselves. The farm of the Berghotel Oeschinensee still comprises about 40 ewes today. Just a few years ago, cows, horses and pigs were still part of it. The increasing legal requirements and the lack of time, however, forced them to reduce the size of the farm and “only” concentrate on their sheep.

The hotel also offers an electric mobile taxi service, which runs on water electricity from the lake itself.
