The climate in Gili Trawangan is best described as a tropical monsoon climate. The island is 8°C south of the equator and therefore it has no extreme seasonal differences. Unlike spring, summer, autumn and winter in most part of the worlds, Gili Trawangan only has a dry and wet season with heavy rainfall from November to March and moderate to little rainfall from April to October.
Gili Trawangan has high temperatures year round ranging between 28°C and 30°C.
The best time to visit is during the drier months: June, July, August and September.
